New York Islanders at Tampa Bay Lightning

Game 7: 6/26/21

This series was an NHL classic. After an Islanders win in game 6 at Nassau Coliseum which would eventually be their final game there, the Lightning went back home and took care of business winning 1-0. Tampa Bay will now defend their championship and face the Montreal Canadiens. Andrei Vasilevskiy got his fourth playoff series clinching shutout, he is absolutely excellent. The only goal scored in the game was a shorthanded goal by Yanni Gourde in the second period. "The Barn" which was the Islanders arena will not host a Stanley Cup Final. The Lightning Canadiens series will start on Monday in Tampa at 8:00 on NBCSN.
